To those who say they won’t vote:
Some people have brought up the fact that they won’t vote if the eventual nominee is not the person they wanted. I just want to put something in perspective.
Justice Scalia’s seat is vacant.
Ginsberg is 82 years old
Kennedy is 79
Breyer is 77
Thomas is 67.
Nowadays, the data shows that the average age of a Supreme Court retirement or death occurs after 75.
These are 5 vacancies that will likely come up over the next 4-8 years. The next President will have the power to potentially create a 7-2 Supreme Court skewed in their ideology.
Think about that… 7-2.
If the next President appoints 5 young justices, it will****guarantee control of the Supreme Court for an entire generation. And 7-2 decisions will hold up much more over time than 5-4 decisions which are viewed as lacking in mandate.
Hillary has made it clear she will use the Supreme Court to go after the 2nd Amendment. She has literally said that the Supreme Court was wrong in its Heller decision stating that the Court should overturn and remove the individual right to keep and bear arms. Period.
Anyone and Everyone who is saying that they won’t vote for one candidate or the other if they are the GOP nominee, please realize this. Hear this! If Hillary Clinton wins and gets to make these appointments, you likely will never see another conservative victory at the Supreme Court level for the rest of your life. Ever.
Whoever is the GOP nominee … go VOTE for the GOP Nominee!
Remember Romney? Three million conservatives who had voted for McCain did not cast a vote for Romney (for whatever reason) …. and the result was four additional years of Obama.
AND ONE FINAL THOUGHT , she’s already on the record as saying that her buddy, Obama “would make a great Supreme Court Justice.”
Just passing it on.

This National Election is undoubtedly the strangest I have witnessed in my lifetime. The stakes are enormous, but that is nothing new. What is new is that the preference of the Nation has moved decidedly to the Left. I am not happy about this, however, I am in no position to change it. So, it seems we are left with ‘Better the Devil you don’t know than the Devil you do know.’
Even this olde-tyme idiom has been turned upon it’s head.
Strange times we live in, indeed.

Goodsteel you are oh so correct .. Any vote not for trump IS a vote for Hitlery

The choice is so obvious not only considering the appointing of new Supreme Court justices, but her already stated plans! And, she is a criminal. I can’t believe there are several I know who say they do not like Trump or don’t trust him, and say they are going to not vote or do a write-in. Smoke4320 is right. If you don’t vote for Trump, you’re voting for Hitlery.

Hey Goodsteel, we don’t hold it against you that you just happen to be from the same state that Bill Clinton came from.

And I’m moving to a place on “Clinton road”.
God has a sense of humor.

You are right Tim and it just makes me angry to talk with “single issue” voters who refuse to vote for a candidate who doesn’t adhere 100% to their ideology. As stated above any conserative who refuses to vote for Trump casts a vote for Hillary by default.

The few things you stated are only the tip of the Hillery iceberg.
Amnesty withing 100 days, millions in immigration from scuzlam countries. The list goes on.
I have run across very few who even admit they would consider voting for her and believe me I have made no friends by stating that anyone who would vote for such a evil corrupt person tells me a great deal about the person doing the voting.
Heaven help us, what have we become ?

“These things the LORD hates: haughty eyes, a lying tongue and hands that shed innocent blood.” Proverbs 6:16-17 [excerpts] (ESV)
Day 2 of the DNC Convention the Democrats gave the stage to Cecile Richards, Lena Dunham, Bill Clinton, and the mother of Michael Brown.
For anyone keeping track, that’s one mass murderer–the Adolf Hitler of the amniotic sac, one woman who admitted to fondling her sister, one alleged serial abuser and rapist, and the mother of an attempted cop killer.
That was only day 2.
There is such a thing called moral bankruptcy. The DNC is so proud of it that they chose to advertise it on their convention stage.

The liberals say you should be more compassionate to those creatures. I stalled on what to call them. People is a little far. Souls, I’m not sure they have them any more. Anyway, I hope to keep my grandchildren far from their reach.

I find it most incredible that the democratic party candidate has clearly lied to the American public concerning several events which occurred while holding public office, is married to a former president whom the House of Representatives voted to impeach for, among other things obstruction of justice.
A President once resigned over impeachment proceedings, mostly because the American public would not stand for the lying.
It appears lying has become acceptable behavior in government officials. Even to the highest office.

It’s acceptable because Americans have accepted it.
I griped and complained about Clinton when he was in office, but I never wrote to my senators and representatives.
I didn’t figure it would do any good. I didn’t think they would back me up.
Meanwhile, they will only push an issue as far as they think their constituents will back THEM up.
So we find ourself in a situation where people have given up on their officials, so the officials give up on the ideals held by the people.
We must write. We must make our voices heard outside the poll booth, and we must BELIEVE in the America we love.
She’s not beyond saving. She just needs good men to believe in her enough to fight for her every day.
We can win this country back if we just act like she’s worth winning!
The mass voice of righteous men make a difference. If every text and Facebook post were simply sent to our politicians inbox rather than squandered on social media, this country could spin on its heel and do an about face.
Its no harder to do one, rather than the other.

It is important to contact and stay in contact with your representatives on all levels. Our state rep is Corey Gardner. He spends a lot of time home in Yuma and anyone can walk up to him and have a talk. He enjoys it as it keeps him in contact with the feelings of the real world.
When this last blast of anti gun nonsense got going it was mentioned that he had received 1500 or so calls wanting more restrictions. Local fellow heard about it, the word was passed and Corey heard from about every REAL citizen of Yuma county and not one of them agreed with those first 1500 calls.
You have to keep in mind these “progressives” will use every trick in the book and like rabbits, one will make a lot of tracks. It was never said but am thinking that the calls wanting more restrictions came from out of our area and really were not the feelings of those whom he represents. He is perhaps our best supporter in Washington.
It is a good thing we live in a small rural area with a very light population. Easy to keep track on all of our elected officials and really we have a good level headed bunch right down to the Sheriff who is a big supporter of open carry. Also my understanding that as of right now at least half if not more of our citizens have concealed carry permits.
Get to know the people you elect, keep in touch with them. If it looks like they are stepping out of line, let them know.
With freedom comes responsibility.
