      Here she is.
It shoots 1.5MOA with factory Winchester 150gr loads.
i bought this and refinished it, trigger job, and action job.
it has Redfield base, and Redfiekd hidden screw rings. The scope is a Leupold VXII 2-7X34. mounted low. It points so naturally, and is so unparticular about eye placement. It just wants to go where you point it!

Thank you to those who contributed to this. I think he’s going to love it!!!!

What did you do to the screw heads to give them a different hue that compliments the receiver? I like it.

The screws, loading gate, elevator, and magazine cap were nitre blued. The rest was hot tank blued. Makes a nice contrast.
the stocks are factory birch. I really wanted walnut, but there was not money for that. I handled the function first, and did everything I could for the cosmetics afterward.

6 hours with files, pop cycle sticks and sandpaper. The final touch was done with my 8″ buff loaded with jewelers rouge.

Well, I’m having issues with photos just now, and cannot post them, but we are about to launch the new site and hoho baby will that be nice!
Yes, pastor got to shoot the rifle for the first time a few weeks ago. All the men from church got together to shoot and have a good time, and pastor brought his rifle. Everybody stopped shooting when he slid its gorgeous self from the sleeve. It’s a good thing we brought plenty of ammo because everybody wanted to try it out.
It was truly gratifying to see all the fellows who had doubts about my recommendations of scope power and mounting style have a light bulb experience when they shot it. Everyone was pleased and the rifle is truly one of the best Marlin 30-30’s I’ve seen. It’s a 1.5MOA rifle with factory Winchester ammo.
      Pastor deserves it.
He’s one of a very few men who have more irons in the fire than I do and he makes it look easy. He pastors two churches and works a full time job siding houses. He drives to church in a contractors truck and preaches the Word straight up, no chaser which is exactly the way I like it. He deserves a 1-100,000,000 rifle, and that’s what he’s got.
