Looks like powder has taken a jump in price with the new year.
This time it looks like inflation rather than politics.

Glad I bought when I did,

Primers have also gone up according to the Powder Valley website.

Harbor Freight has their powder at $6.39 a pound. Considering how many bullets a pound covers, it’s still a good deal.

CCI primers are still the same price. Just to make a comparison easy here are the PV prices from two years ago on some powders I use. Cost is for 1# and 8#.

      W231 – 18.90 / 133.75
      HP-38 -17.80 / 127.15
      W296 – 19.50 / 144
      H110 – 19.40 / 142.50
      Tac – 20.30 / 145.60
      LT-32 – 27.10 / 204.30
      H335 – 23.25 / 165
      4895 – 22 / 158
      BE-86 – 17.40 / 119.50
      2400 – 18.50 / 128.25
      Bullseye – 17.40 / 119.50
      Universal – 20 / 142.50

Had this in my phone to compare local prices and decide if they were worth paying more.

I have started buying powder and primers almost exclusively from Ballistics Products. Red dot did go up 50 cents from my last purchase. If you buy an 8 lb jug and some primers to spread the hazmat fee around it is still under 23$ a pound.

Decent enough. You do have to keep checking to see if they have everything you want in stock from time to time.

No one that I have seen has everything available all the time.

I caught varget in stock at PV paid $154 a jug, the week before it was $168, the week after it went to $184. I caught it just right. Makes me wonder if it was blemished or typo. Looks like varget, smells like varget, burns like varget must be varget.
