i have an win m94(1973) in 30-30 that definitely needs some cerakote. when thats done then its going to JES and he’ll make a 35-30/30 win. when thats done, i want to use a “red dot” sight. since the rifle is top eject and i abhor a side scope mount, i would like to go with the pearsons no drill mount and a see all sight. does anybody use this? what do you think?

I would like to know how the 35 -30/30 turns out. Sounds like a good pig or deer round. Don’t really know about the scope mount.

I can tell you the older I get the more Iam liking the red dot sights . For 100 yards or so they work great for me.

I used a seeall on the 30/30, then a BO pistol.  It works very well with the exception of fast target sighting.  For close stand hunting or bench work it’s OK. for pig hunting, not so much.  Little bit hard to use if you wear mag. glasses.  It is very accurate, no parallax.  I used it on a pig hunt, shot at the south end of a hog (5 shots) and I got one hit and no pig.  10-50 yds.  I used the pyramid reticle one, have changed to a holo cross-hair sight on the pistol.  I was surprised that it still worked after dusk when on  another pig hunt.  Not the see all nite sight & decent moon light.
