Ok I know everyone loves a High Point and there is a very good reason why they are so cheap . I mean the things are ugly and gawky and have about as much grace as a 14 yo in a growth spurt .

I feel pretty good about this though . That’s 37 shots , 25 yd sitting 1 elbow to 1 knee with the high precision factory post and peep . 37 because that’s 3 mags 2@14 and 1@9 . It wasn’t focused deliberate shooting it was enhanced destressing plinking . So it may be rapid fire , shoot , reset , shoot , reset , shoot .

    The load is for a S&W 1917 with .453 throats and a .452 groove .
So the little bit of wash at the muzzle doesn’t bother me at all .

    45 ACP
    Win FC brass
    45-200 SWC
    5.5 Unique
    CCI LPP (200?)
    50/50 WW-soft range metal
    More or less Darrs lube
    About 1100 fps MV

Pro Mags for the 14 rn mags they seem to work fine so far .

I want to get one in 40 also .

They are reasonably priced, and they work. Several have shown up at the range here for pistol caliber carbine matches.

I like my hp in 40. Does real good at 25 to 50 yards. Haven’t tried it any farther
