The Tamale casserole is a winner. My mom taught me how to make it, she called it Tamale Pie, but is the same recipe. When I was dating my wife, we were both college students , I fixed it for her and she was so impressed that I could actually cook. Most college boys can’t boil water . It wasn’t until later that she found out I could only cook about 4 different things, she married me anyway. We been married 44 years and it’s all because of Tamale Casserole.! I’m going to get some jiffy and make some….it’s been a while !
Thanks for reminding me about the dish that got me a wife…..gary
