Any of you guys listen to Hanks Williams 3? Some rowdy lyrics and a few songs I don’t like but all in all our favorite living artist. Has real talent, writes plays several instruments and isn’t owned by a record company. From heavy metal to blue grass he’s damn good

Don’t think PG 13 is his thing, but for a farm boy growing up listening to waylon Jennings and George Jones and Metallica, Johnny Cash and Anthrax this is the music of my life

He played the dog out of it. He was very “Scrugsy” though.

My favorite banjo picker is Mean Mary. Just love her voice and the way she picks. Whisky drinkin music. Thumps you right in the heart.

A friend of mine played banjo with Allison Krauss back in the early 80s. He is very good, and still keeps in touch with her. Last time she came in town we got to go backstage and meet her and the others in the band…including Ron Block. He is pure talent. Also met Jerry Douglas who IMHO is one of the best on the dobro.

Alison Krauss is pure talent and surrounds herself with the same. Yeah, Ron Block is an excellent player and a Christian. I agree with you on Douglas. He’s pretty salty with that dobro.
