Last month (January 2016) I shot a 20 shot 100 yard group from the cold clean barrel using the standard load (30 XCB at 2900 fps) out of Dawn. I’m working toward a load to shoot at 300 yards in F Class competition. The object of this test was to see if accuracy would hold for a 20 shot string (F Class). The 1st shot out of the cold barrel went high left at 11 o’clock out of the group. The second shot went a bit out of the group at about 2:30. The remaining 18 shots went into the ragged group shown. Group size for all 20 shots including the 1st shot was 1.607″. The remaining 19 shots went into 1.25″.
When the winter storms quit rolling through I’ll hang a 300 yard F Class target at 300 yards and see how it does. The 10 ring on the # class is made for 1 moa capability so it will be a real test for sure.
