I started with HF powder to see if I cared for the process. Once I decided that I liked it, I bought some powder from smoke. Big difference with shake and bake.

As for bullet coverage. I’ve shot bullets with splotchier coating than that and all worked out fine. If you are scraping in the size die, just put a little imperial on a bullet to be sized every now and then.

On humidity. I had the unique opportunity to go from an environment with average 17% humidity to an environment with average 90%+ humidity. Powder coating both places there was no difference in coverage of the powder coat. Humidity was measured with a Kestrel weather meter. So while others have pointed to humidity being a factor, I can say that it was not a factor in my coating for me.
