You might want to recall I actually measure the psi and time pressure curve of these loads in the rifles they are used in including Dawn. You can actually see the measured time pressure traces on the Oehler M43 data sheets for each shot tested. Over the years I have hear a lot about different “shock waves” regarding the use of smokeless powders in cartridges. There have been numerous theories and postulations. None of them have been proven with actual measuring equipment. Perhaps you care to postulate where I might find any reference to how these “shock waves” were documented and proven to exist? All I’ve managed to measure is a time pressure curve that is commensurate with a progressive burning powder.
