The way Larry explained his weight sorting, it makes perfect common sense.
I sort by weight also, but I wasnt sorting for a ‘specific’ weight, those heavier weights.
It makes sense that the heaviest ones are the purest lead. You may get some dross, air bubble or something in your alloy occasionally, but lead weighs the heaviest of both dross or air. So the heavy weight is the way to tell if you got pure solid lead.
Then when the chart shows a sudden spike increase in weight, I bet there is flake of dirt or something beagling the mold.
